URBE-LOG “Urban Electronic Logistic”

This project, referring to the “last mile logistics” sector, aims at developing an innovative ICTplatform of services and components for urban logistics, so as to enable the creation of a virtual mobile network community and the integrated management of processes, with the active participation of the main actors, from the producer to the retailer. The main goal of the project is the overall improvement of metropolitan area logistics and the decrease of the corresponding impact on environment. The project will develop and integrate predictive, negotiation and decision support systems able to improve efficacy of pick-up, delivery, interchange and dynamic management operations.

CagliariPort2020 deals with the interface between Port System and the city, that constitutes a major challenge on the urban context matters, and is a natural extension of the previous project Cagliari2020, which is centered on the development of innovative solutions for mobility in metropolitan areas through the acquisition of real time information relating to urban mobility and their modeling for the development of planning tools and decision support. Moreover, it includes the creation of citizen services aimed at an improvement of mobility in Area Vasta.
BERGAMO 2035 “A new Urban Concept”

Bergamo 2.035 is a research program which sees Bergamo University, Italcementi Foundation and the Graduate School of Design of Harvard University, with the partnership of the municipality of Bergamo, engaged in conceiving an articulated, long-term and comparative vision of the most relevant future developments of Bergamo, a typical historical Italian mid-sized town. The distinctive features of the Bergamo 2.035 project are: the interdisciplinary approach, the willingness to conceive feasible solutions to the issues identified and the strong involvement of the local community.
