(VELINO) Roma, 10 Apr - President of the Casa AmericaFoundation of Genoa, Roberto Speciale, and the CEO of CostaEdutainment, Giovanni Battista Costa, flew to Argentina on amission to present to Buenos Aires city council the experienceof the Genoa Aquarium, whose creation greatly contributed tothe economic and cultural revitalisation of the city in theearly 1990s. The curator of the Genoa Aquarium, Lorenzo Senes,and the director of the Sustainable Italy Foundation, Lino DeBenetti, also went on the mission, which was supported by theItalian Embassy in Buenos Aires. The visit was part of aninitiative by the City of Buenos Aires aiming to takeinspiration from the experience of the largest aquarium inEurope in order to redevelop the populous and partially decayedarea of La Boca, an historic city district full of greatsymbolic importance for Italian emigration and Genoese inparticular. During the meetings with members of the LegislativeCouncil of the Argentine capital, the delegation presented theproject, which is one of the events of the Year of Italy inLatin America. vel.
