(AGI) Milan, Mar 17 - Negotiations between Italian high technology company Finmeccanica and Kuwait for the supply of the Eurofighter are near to a close, said CEO Mauro Moretti, meeting analysts on Thursday. "We are at the final stages of the discussion," he said. The contract is for 28 Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft. Things are looking up for the Finmeccanica group, which in 2016 is preparing for another "year of growth," Mr Moretti continued. "2015 was a turning point, with the definition of the strategic plan and the results achieved. We are moving with confidence into 2016, which will be another year of growth in terms of profitability and generation of cash flow. Our entire business is contributing to the profitability of the group." The group plans to make annual investments of around 600 to 650 million euros from 2016 to 2020. It is a sustainable "and self-financing" level, which includes both capital expenditure and research and development. "Investments in support of the business have been confirmed. Key programmes will not suffer delays," said Financial Director Gian Piero Cutillo. Investments were rationalised in 2015, down from 750 million euros to about 600 million. (AGI) . .
