(AGI) Algiers, Dec 23 - Algeria has begun its buildup towardsthe Expo2015 and unveiled its postal stamp dedicated to WorldFood Day with a ceremony at the Grand Post Office in Algiers,an occasion to celebrate the country's participation at theevent in Milan. The ceremony was attended by the head of theMinistry of Post, Information Technology and Communication'scabinet, Salim Djalal, and Algeria's Commissioner for theExpo2015, former tourism minister Mohamed Bensalem. Both menreiterated the country's vested interest in the Expo, which isgarnering a great deal attention in Algiers, where the Expo'stopic of food and nutrition is considered of strategicimportance. This is in addition to Milan's appeal in and ofitself, not only for what it represents for culture,technology, industry, design, fashion, and taste, but also forsports and social models. (AGI) . .
