(AGI) Rome, Aug 22 - Reports that two Italian women werekidnapped by ISIS while volunteering in Syria were refuted bythe Italian Foreign Ministry Undersecretary, Mario Giro. "Theassertions made by the Guardian newspaper yesterday appearunfounded", Giro said on Rainews24. When asked on which groundsthe rebuttal was based, Giro preferred not to respond and askedfor the "utmost discretion". In response to further queriesregarding the possibility that the young women were handed fromone party of kidnappers to others, Giro replied: "Everything ispossible.
