(AGI) Vatican City, Oct 29 - Female detainees in Rome'sRebibbia penitentiary dedicated a flash mob to Pope Francis onThursday. Under the slogan "Pope is pop", some 50 women of allkinds of nationalities - Italian, Bosnian, Armenian, Filipino,Tanzanian, Nigerian, Liberian, South American, and Canadian -danced and sang together, with the celebration dragging prisonstaff and volunteers into the mix as well. "Inmates ofdifferent faiths and cultures were united by a single passionfor Pope Francis and his message of hope, which reaches eventhose in prison," Radio Vaticana reported. "On the eve of theJubilee of Mercy, they have made their voice be heard loud andclear from a place of restriction by definition." The Directorof the penitentiary's female section, Ida Del Grosso, commentedon the event on the radio station. She stated, "In prison,these initiatives are particularly important and must always bewelcomed. It's also through such initiatives that a message ofunity can be spread. They overcame linguistic and culturalbarriers and worked together on the dance, a dance which had adeep meaning: 'Pope Francis, you're with us; we thank you foralways thinking of us.
