Mogherini discusses nuclear entente with Rohani and Zarif

(AGI) Tehran, July 28 - The High Representative for EU foreignpolicy, Federica Mogherini, has arrived in Tehran for a briefvisit with a tight agenda. Local media report that Ms Mogheriniwill meet president Hassan Rohani and foreign minister MohammadJavas Zarif, along with other dignitaries, to discuss theenforcement of the nuclear programme agreement signed in Viennaon July 14. Zarif's deputy, Majid Takhteravanchi, said that'reciprocal cooperation' between the EU and the IslamicRepublic will be on the agenda, together with 'regionalissues'. According to local media, Mogherini will in fact pressher counterparts to seek a political solution to the conflictin Yemen, where loyalists supported by the Saudi-led Sunnicoalition face the Shiite Houthi rebels, supported by theayatollah regime. It is not by chance that the visit to Iran ofthe former Italian foreign minister follows her visit toRiyadh, whose government is very critical of the nuclear deal.. .
