Twenty-five European banks fail ECB stress test
(AGI) Rome, Oct 26 - Twenty-five banks in the euro area out ofa total of 130 were found to be below the minimum capitalrequirements after the asset quality review (AQR) and EuropeanCentral Bank (ECB) stress test, carried out on the basis offigures on Dec 31, 2013. A total of 11 banks are in shortfall,that is, with capital deficiencies even after remedial actionsand the work carried out in 2014 and officially recognised bythe ECB. Italy's Monti dei Paschi di Siena (MPS) and Carigeboth failed the test. . .
