(AGI) Helsinki, Nov 11 - Italian innovation is showcased inHelsinki with 20 start-ups and enterprise accelerators whichwill take part over two days in Slush, the world exhibit of ICTand the digital universe. This is an international get-togetherfor start-ups, investors, gurus of innovation and media. Forthe first time, the event will have an Italian pavilionsupported by Italy's Embassy to Finland and by a group ofItalians in Helsinki, in the field of start-ups, thanks to theproject "Missione Italia at Slush". Italian start-ups willpresent their innovative products and processes and, incooperation with Italia Start Up, they will promoteopportunities offered by the Italian innovation eco-system. Thepavilion aims to promote Italian product excellence, and hasbeen decorated with iconic items of Italian design thanks tothe sponsorship of Kartell, iGuzzini, Piaggio and Meritalia.The Italian organisers and participants have been welcomed byAmbassador Giorgio Visetti at Residenza Italia. "Italy is trulyinterested in identifying and pursuing new collaborationopportunities with Finland, a country that positivelyencourages innovation, as a stimulus to social and economicdevelopment," stressed Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni in hisaddress. The aim, the minister said, " aims at favouring thedevelopment of synergies between ideas generated by theformidable incubators represented by modern start-ups andItalian and Finnish examples of industrial excellence.". .
