(AGI) Cernobbio, Sept 7 - Italian Transport Minister MaurizioLupi will meet with Etihad CEO James Hogan next week, theminister told reporters on Sunday. He explained that Hogan hadrequested the meeting, and that they will discuss theEtihad-Alitalia deal. Abu Dhabi-based Etihad clinched a deallast month to buy 49 percent of loss-making Alitalia. Lupi saidhe was confident the European Commission would approve theagreement. "The operation ensures competitiveness and is goodfor the European as well as the global market.
