(AGI) Milan, May 21 - The Milan Charter, the document draftedon the occasion of the Expo event, is a commitment for citizensand businesses to take on responsibilities for a sustainableuse of the planet's resources. To date, 200,000 people visitingthe Milan Expo have signed the document, reported Italy'sAgriculture Minister, Maurizio Martina. The dignitary gave apress conference on Thursday morning, during which he made someadditions to the Charter. "Today, we have over 200,000signatures. To have that many in only 20 days is anaccomplishment. If you walk across Piazza Italia and stop tolook at where the Charter is exhibited, it is great to watchhow visitors react," said the minister. "The additions to theCharter refer to the efficient use of resources. The currentproduction systems generate excess CO2 emissions, and we needall nations to be committed. We must reach an agreement on thisissue by the Paris Climate Conference 2015," said the Ministerfor the Environment, Gian Luca Galletti. .
