(VELINO) Roma, 19 Mar - The Italian Cultural Institute inZagreb will host from march 17 to April 10, an exhibition ofthe works of the architect Riccardo Dalisi, professor at theFaculty of Architecture in Naples, and an internationallyrecognised designer. Professor Dalisi will be present at theopening. To host a Riccardo Dalisi exhibition is in part toconfirm the concepts of excellence and uniqueness of BrandItaly, of the successful synthesis of Italian style and tasteand his fame and recognition in the world, the Instituteexplains. In his work, this architect, designer and artistfocuses on man, re-evaluating the concept of humanity as themeasure of all things. He then conducts a practicalinvestigation in the heart of a controversial city like Naples, among the twists and turns of its lost harmony, to understandits essence. Dalisi has developed and glorified the poetry ofeveryday life in his objects composed of simple sheet metal, humble copper, and modest paper, which become valuable only ifwe invest them with value. He is twice winner of the "Compassod'Oro" (Golden Compass) award: in 1981 with the AlessiNeapolitan Coffee Maker and a year ago, in 2014, for socialcommitment. The selection of works on display ranges fromdesign to works in tin, from design objects to jewellery andsmall sculptures depicting Totocchio, a character born of acommon object, the Neapolitan coffee maker, and a good dose ofimagination and free thinking, a Pinocchio from the alleywaysof Naples, part puppet and part street urchin. The variety ofthe objects shows a synthesis between research and teaching, anencounter between artistic vocation and interest in social andpolitical issues. vel.
