(AGI) London, June 15 - The sound of jazz is to accompany the poems of Stefano Benni, texts by Franca Rame and traditional Sardinian songs, performed by the Filomena Campus Quartet on stage at the Vortex, a venue in London's Dalston area, on Friday June 17. No Potho Reposare, a Sardinian folk song, which became popular in the 90s with Tazenda's performance, will be presented in London with an arrangement by Dudley Phillips. The Sardinian artist Filomena Campus was brought up professionally between Cagliari and London, where she now lives and works. She will perform with Steve Lodder at the piano, Phillips at the double bass, and Adriano Adewale on percussion in an event which will open a new series of concerts for the artist. "We will also feature a poem by Benni and a text on Franca Rame which she recently edited. It will be a jazz session with some drama and poetry, " said Camus. The Quartet will play, above all, the tracks of their recent album, 'Jester of Jazz', with some previews of a future project planned for 2017. The show will range from the 'Commedia dell'Arte' to the theatre of the absurd and Sardinian culture, all played in music, including references to Dario Fo and Franca Rame, Pina Bausch, Federico Fellini, Samuel Beckett and many more.
