(VELINO) Roma, 31 Aug - The sixth concert in the "Vivacissimo! 2016" series, hosted by the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney, will be a performance by pianist Marco Cecchinelli on Sept. 8. Cecchinelli was born in Milan in 1962 and studied at the "Niccolo' Paganini" Conservatory in Genoa, graduating in Piano in 1983 under Lidia Arcuri and in Composition in 1989 under Federico Ermirio. His programme will be dedicated to the influence of Italian opera on 19th century piano compositions, with a tribute to Ferruccio Busoni on the 150th anniversary of his birth. The pianist has performed his vast repertoire in Italy and abroad as a soloist, playing with many chamber music groups and orchestras and singers, including soprano Mariella Devia. He has toured Germany and Denmark solo since 2003 and collaborated with Italian cultural institutes, consulates and Dante Alighieri societies in Hamburg, Hanover, Cologne, Lubeck, Potsdam, Kiel, Wolfsburg, Aarhus and Copenhagen. vel
