(VELINO) Roma, 8 Sep - A little over nine years since the death of one of the great directors of contemporary cinema, Michelangelo Antonioni, the Italian Cultural Institute in Montreal and the Cine'mathe'que que'be'coise have organised a retrospective of the Italian master to show his take on the human soul and modern society's contradictions. It is a journey through Antonioni's career, from his early short film "N.U. (Nettezza Urbana)" and his feature length films "Story of a Love Affair", "Identification of a Woman", and "Beyond the Clouds", co-directed with Wim Wenders, to his three American productions "The Passenger", "Blowup", and "Zabriskie Point". "I Vinti" will open the retrospective on September 16 while the screening of "N.U." on October 5 will mark the end of the event. vel
