(VELINO) Roma, 6 Jul - After making various stops throughout Latin America and the world, the "Italy of the Future" ("Italia del Futuro") exhibition will be hosted in Mexico City from July 7 to October 31 at the Science Museum of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). The exhibition is an innovative journey to discover Italy's points of scientific excellence, from robotics to particle physics, health, transportation technology and the protection of cultural and archaeological assets. For the Year of Italy in Latin America, the Italian Foreign Ministry launched a tour to present the important innovations developed and internationally spearheaded by Italy, attesting to the country's dynamism and ability to renew itself, with an eye on the future but roots in a culture thousands of years old. The exhibition reviews the centuries-long heritage of ingenuity, restoring the image of an Italy in which advances in knowledge become a tool to improve the quality of life of all of society. The exhibition was developed by Italy's National Research Council (CNR) in partnership with some of the most important Italian research agencies: Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (Italian Institute of Technology - IIT); the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN); and the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa (SSUP). The Year of Italy in Latin America is an initiative promoted by the Italian Foreign Ministry in association with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI), and sponsored by numerous businesses. vel
