(VELINO) Roma, 21 Sep - Italy has strengthened its relations with Brazil thanks to the visit to Belo Horizonte by its Ambassador, Antonio Bernardini, on his first mission to the Minas Gerais State. The mission has not only deepened ties between Italy and this State of the Federative Republic of Brazil, but has also opened the door to new projects in the future. Bilateral cooperations are already solid on the economic and cultural front and, in order to further consolidate existing liaisons and attract new investments, Ambassador Bernardini took part in a meeting at the Federation of Minas Gerais Industrialists (FIEMG). The meeting focused on the business sectors with the greatest potential for developing trade with Italy, following in the tracks of well-established Italian businesses and a number of new companies operating in this State. Consistently with this economic diplomacy outlook, Ambassador Bernardini awarded to the president of FIEMG, Olavo Machado Junior, the insignia of the Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity, in recognition of his constant efforts to promote friendly and collaborative relations with Italy, which were bolstered by FIEMG's participation at the Expo Milan 2015. The ceremony at the FIEMG headquarters was also attended by Italy's Consul in Belo Horizone, Aurora Rossi. vel
