(VELINO) Roma, 13 Sep - San Carlos di Bariloche (Rio Negro Province) will host its eighth film cycle on Italian cinema, entitled "La straordinaria varieta' del cinema italiano" (The extraordinary variety of Italian cinema), from 15 September to 27 October. The event was organised by the "Nueva Italia" association of San Carlos di Bariloche with the support of the Italian Consulate General in Bahia Blanca. All the films will be subtitled in Argentinian (Castilian). The programme will kick off with Massimiliano Bruno's "Escort in Love", followed by Andrea Segre's "Shun Li and the Poet", Matteo Garrone's "Reality", Giuseppe Tornatore's "The Best Offer", and Ettore Scola's "How Strange to be Named Federico". Scola's "We All Loved Each Other So Much" will close the cycle, which has now become a regular and popular event in the Argentinian city. The organisers are hoping to garner even greater numbers of spectators this year. Cinema is one of the best means of strenghtening cultural bonds between Italy and Argentina and of reminding Argentinians of Italian descent of their roots. vel
