(VELINO) Roma, 3 May - The Italian Permanent Representative Office at NATO, in Brussels, organised a seminar on "Partnership for Peace Trust Funds: Cooperative Security in Action". The event, held in cooperation with the Swiss Confederation, was attended by more than 80 participants. Speakers included: Italian Ambassador, Claudio Bisogniero, his Swiss colleague and, keynote speaker, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Democracy, Tacan Ildem. Panels focused on "Taking stock of 17 years of PfP Trust Funds" and "Preparing for new challenges ahead", followed by presentations from Ambassador Stefano Stefanini and diplomatic representatives of Mauritania and Jordan,with the director of the UNMAS (UN Mine Action Service) office in Geneva, Sarah Marshall, and the Chair of CONOP (the EU's Working Party on Non-Proliferation), Judith Koromi. vel
