(VELINO) Roma, 24 Mar - The Italian Ambassador to Brazil, Antonio Bernardini, called a coordination meeting for Italy's Cultural Promotion in the country on March 25. This is the first meeting on the topic, which stems from the awareness that in a country like Brazil it is indispensable to network in the promotion of culture which represents, still today, one of the pillars of the Italo-Brazilian cooperation. The meeting will be attended by the representatives of the Italian diplomatic and consular network in Brazil, the Italian Cultural Institutes, principal of the Italian School, the Italian language teachers in Brazilian universities, the State-recognised schools, the managing authorities and the representatives of the Italian Studies Department of the University of Sao Paulo and of the Brazilian Association of Italian Language Professors. The meeting will focus on topics such as the teaching and promotion of Italian language and culture, and will be a invaluable opportunity to share experiences, best practices and discuss difficulties and factual proposals with the culturally active stakeholders in the country. It will also be a point of departure to foster further meetings and promote an effective joint coordination action. vel
