(VELINO) Roma, 10 Feb - As part of the cycle "La carta e la filigrana di Fabriano" ("Fabriano Paper and Watermark"), on 16 February the Italian Cultural Institute in Lisbon will host two lectures: "Carta e stampa, eccellenze a contatto" ("Paper and Print, excellences juxtaposed") by Giorgio Pellegrini and "La diffusione della carta in Italia e il primato di Fabriano" ("The spread of paper in Italy and the primacy of Fabriano") by Franco Mariani. Giorgio Pellegrini is the director of the Museum of Paper and Watermarks of Fabriano since 1998. Franco Mariani, who graduated in Graphic Design at the ISIA (Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche) in Urbino, was former advertising director of several Italian brands and professor of Project Designing for Publishing and the History of Books and the Press at the University of Urbino. Since 1993 he devotes his time to conducting studies and research on the history of paper and watermarks. vel
