Ouagadougou - The first Panafrican Real Estate Fair will open its doors on 27 April. It will be a showcase for professionals in the industry including promoters, agents, experts, suppliers of construction material, operators in the construction industry, banks and insurance companies.
The fair will occur in Ouagadougou from 27 to 29 April on the grounds of the International Artisans Exhibition (SIAO). It is a major biennial event taking place in the country and is important for the entire region. The theme chosen for the first Panafrican Real Estate Fair is "Housing policies in Africa: opportunities and challenges".
The director of the Fair is Boubacar Compaore, one of the most prominent members in the industry with his real estate company, Le Batisseue [the developer]. The director explained that the idea behind the fair is to establish a dialogue and hold a debate on issues shared by all the players involved in the industry. One of the aims of the event is to attract foreign investors to Burkina Faso.
