The Nikkei index shed0.14 percent to 15,348.29 points. The euro opened above 1.36dollars in the wake of the ECB executive meeting. The EuropeanCentral Bank is expected to leave rates unvaried and notannounce any new stimulus packages. ECB President, MarioDraghi, is expected to give clarifications on the Long-termRefinancing Operation and quantitative easing. The Europeancurrency traded at 1.3553 dollars. The euro-yen rate was 139.05and the dollar-yen 101.85.
