(AGI) Beirut, Sept 23 - The first provisional unofficialcasualty total of the air strikes by the U.S. and its Araballies on Syria overnight on Monday is 58 dead, including eightcivilians, of who two were children and one a woman, said theSyrian Observatory for Human Rights. Fifty of those who diedwere al-Qaeda fighters from the Nusra front, killed in thewestern suburbs of Aleppo, while paradoxically no Islamic State(IS) fighters died, said the Observatory's director, RamiAbderrahman. The IS is Washington's main target along with theAl Qaeda group "Khorasan". U.S. jets hammered Isis positions intheir stronghold of Raqqa, as well as in Deir Azzor and Aleppo.(AGI) . .
