As soon as they saw thepolice coming, they both burst into tears without howevermentioning a word about the accident. Luigi Silico, the chiefof the Flying Squad reported: "From the time of the accident,we started looking for the 17-year-old, who had managed toescape. Without pause, we searched nomad camps and shadowedseveral huts. We interrogated the witnesses several timesduring the investigation and we managed to exclude theinvolvement of other suspects."
