(AGI) Cairo, Dec. 9 - The photographic exhibition titled"Nefertari 1904-2014" was inaugurated in Cairo as part ofcelebrations for the 110th anniversary of the discovery of thequeen's tomb by Italian archaeologist Ernesto Schiaparelli. Itwill be hosted by the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square untilJan. 8, 2015, at which time it will be transferred toAlexandria and Luxor. The initiative was organised by theItalian embassy in Cairo and the Italian Culture Institute, incooperation with the Egyptian antiquities ministry. Italianambassador Maurizio Massari also took part. Nefertari's tomb isone of the biggest in the Valley of the Queens, as well as oneof the best preserved, with an extraordinary array of frescoes.The tomb's paintings were restored between 1985 and 1992, underthe auspices of the Paul Getty Institute, by a group of Italianexperts led by Paolo Mora. . .
