On Friday September 11
Benin is celebrating its National Day at Expo Milano 2015, with traditional dances and songs and opportunities to taste the Country's typical products. The festivities also continue over the next few days until Tuesday, September 15, with the many meetings, cultural events and shows hosted by the Benin Pavilion in the Fruit and Legumes Cluster. The traditions of this small country in West Africa have such deep roots that UNESCO has declared its dances and songs elements of Intangible World Heritage. The celebrations for the National Day of Benin will provide an unmissable opportunity to witness these live, thanks to the performances given by the theater group Super-Anges Hwendo na Bua and by singers Jolidon Lafia and Norbeka, which will be followed by a parade from the Expo Centre to the Fruit and Legumes Cluster. Later the Cluster will host a tasting session with local dishes. The artists of the company Super-Anges Hwendo na Bua, considered the guardians of the cultural traditions of Benin, will perform again at 7:00 pm on the stage of the Fruit and Legumes Cluster.
