MP under house arrest in MOSE case

(AGI) Rome, July 10 - The Chamber of Deputies' committee forauthorisations has approved a house arrest request for MPGiancarlo Galan in connection with the MOSE project (ModuloSperimentale Elettromeccanico, Experimental ElectromechanicalModule). Sixteen voted to approve the measure, three against,while the committee chairman, Ignazio La Russa, did not vote.The Northern League, PD, Scelta Civica (Civic Choice), SEL andFive-Star Movement were in favour, while Forza Italia, NCD andPSI voted against the measure.
