ISIS sells contraband crude oil for 18 dollars a barrel

(AGI/NOVA) Cairo, July 11 - The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria(ISIS), which controls some of the oil-producing areas of Syriaand Iraq, has resorted to selling contraband crude oil forbetween 10 and 18 dollars a barrel for fundraising purposes.Several Iraqi, Syrian and Turkish sources told the daily AsharqAl-Awsat international newspaper that the group had broken intothe local market and was exporting oil to Turkey in particular,where crude retails for more than 100 dollars a barrel.
