(AGI) Trento, Feb 27 - The provincial councillor for culture ofthe province of Trento, Tiziano Mellarini, hosted a meeting onFriday with Egypt's Minister of Antiquities and Heritage,Mamdouh El Damati, accompanied by Mostafa Amin Mostafa,Secretary General of the Council of Egyptian Antiquities.Together they will sign an agreement with the Rovereto museum,aimed at making better use of Egypt's archaeological heritage."This is an important moment for Trento's cultural world andfor our province," said Mellarini. "It will create importantprojects, and emphasise our will to be dynamic and tointernationalise." The initiative started with the work ofMaurizio Zulian, a partner of the Civic Museum, who over theyears documented the most important Egyptian archaeologicalsites, collecting over 30,000 images. This unique material willbe brought together on a new website, created and maintained bythe museum, which will focus on the activities of the EgyptianCouncil of Antiquities. The website is the result of a 2004agreement that made the museum a hub for national andinternational universities and the boundless archaeologicalheritage of Middle Egypt. . .
