PANTALLA PINAMAR FILM FESTIVAL TO OPEN IN ARGENTINA

(VELINO) Roma, 26 Feb - The eleventh Pantalla PinamarArgentine-European film festival will be held from Mar. 7 to 14in the Argentinian city of Pinamar. Italy will be present atthis major festival with its latest productions in the section"Films selected at the Taormina Festival". The films include"Italo Barocco" by Alessia Scarso, "Mai stati uniti" by CarloVanzina and 'Il pretore' by Giulio Base. On Mar. 13 there willbe a press conference to present the Year of Italy in LatinAmerica, followed by the screening of the film "In grazia diDio" by Edoardo Winspeare. Italy's participation is supportedby the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute inBuenos Aires as part of the programme organised for the Year ofItaly in Latin America, sponsored by the Foreign Ministry incooperation with the Ministries of Culture and Tourism,Economic Development, the Italian Trade Commission (ICE), andthe Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities. Manycompanies have sponsored the events. The programme includessome 200 events that focus on modern Italy and its culture,science, economy and technology. It is an ambitious and complexproject aimed at making the best use of Italian talent presentin South America. vel.
