(VELINO) Roma, 17 Jul - Italy will take part in the 19thInternational Book Fair of Lima, the Peruvian capital, fromThursday July 18 to Aug. 3. The Italian Cultural Institute willrepresent Italy at the event organised by the Peruvian Chamberof Books. The institute will have its own stand and a roundtable with writer and Italian publisher Marco Cassini alongwith Argentine colleagues. He is the co-founder of the Italianpublishing house Minimum Fax and the author of a monograph onRaymond Carver and has edited, among other things, a collectionof quotes, interviews and essays on the Beat Generation. Therewill be nearly 300 booths at the fair, 175 will be localexhibitors and 40 international guests. More than 500activities have been organised, including presentations,conferences and round tables. The guest of honour this yearwill be Chile (it was Italy in 2006), whose delegation will beled by Minister-President of the National Council of Cultureand the Arts, Ms Claudia Barattini. Guests will be able todownload the fair app, as last year, which includes aninteractive map of the exhibition, the latest news and calendarof events. The route of the event has been redesigned as twoconcentric circles within which visitors will find the standsand exhibition spaces, connected by corridors, to make theirvisit easier. vel.
