ITALIAN EMBASSY AWARDS PRIZES TO ARGENTINE JOURNALISTS

(VELINO) Roma, 1 Dec - Italian ambassador to Argentina, TeresaCastaldo, presented the awards for the 2014 journalismcompetition. The initiative was organised by the embassy inpartnership with the Italian State Tourism Board (ENIT), ExpoMilano 2015 and the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) of BuenosAires, which hosted the event at the opening of the AnatoleSaderman photographic exhibition. The winners included GracielaCutuli, Emilia Erbetta and Nestor Tirri, who will receive afree trip to Italy in 2015. Two other winning journalists willreceive free Italian courses at the Italian Cultural Institute.The jury looked at many articles from both Buenos Aires and itsprovince that ranged over a wide variety of topics, includingtourism, immigration, human rights, literature and cinema. The"pieces" presented must have been published in Argentinenewspapers, magazines or websites between January and September2014. However, their common thread had to be Italy: its image,news, culture, history, traditions and relations withArgentina. A mixed Italian and Argentine jury of professionaljournalists assessed the articles. vel.
