(AGI) Cairo, Nov 17 - Families and relatives of captiveLebanese soldiers ended their protest in Beirut against thegovernment after Health Minister Wael Abu Faour told them thatthe Islamic State (IS) jihadist group will not execute theirsons yet. IS and Nusra Front are holding 27 hostages theyseized during clashes with the army in August. IS had given anultimatum of 4 p.m. (15.00 CET) for the Lebanese government torevoke death sentences handed down to Islamists in Roumiehprison or they would execute the captives. "Some calls weremade, and the threat has been delayed," the minister said. "Wegained some time. I can only say that we gained some time,nothing more."
