(AGI) Rome, Nov 27 - The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)announced it will stand, as expected, next to its president,Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, during the Fifa electionsscheduled for Feb. 26. The AFC seering committee approved aresolution whereby all the federations of the Asian continentare called to support Al Khalifa's candidature, considering himto be the right person to return credibility to Fifa, as heshowed leadership qualities when he presided over theConfederation. He proved that he can reconstruct Fifa and makeit better in the future," reported the AFC resolution. "I amsure that the next Fifa president will come from Asia," said AlKhalifa, thanking his supporters.
