Una rappresentanza della sezione romana dell'Associazione Nazionale Giuristi Democratici si è data appuntamento questa sera davanti l'ambasciata egiziana a Roma per dire basta alla violenza, ai soprusi e alla violazione dei diritti umani fondamentali. E' una delle tante iniziative organizzate per la Giornata dell'avvocato perseguitato che ogni anno cade il 24 gennaio. Due anni fa era stata la Turchia, l'anno scorso la Cina, quest'anno l'Egitto. In questo Paese il panorama è sconfortante per gli avvocati in prima persona ma anche per ciò che essi difendono, sottolineano i giuristi. Gli avvocati, con tanto di toga, hanno mostrato alcuni cartelli con i nomi di alcuni loro colleghi egiziani perseguitati e assassinati. Durante il sit-in i presenti hanno fatto riferimento ai continui atti di violenza che avvengono ogni giorno in Egitto e ricordato più volte ciò che è accaduto a Giulio Regeni, il ricercatore italiano scomparso due anni fa al Cairo e trovato morto otto giorni dopo.
