He will receive the awardon July 23 at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Centerfor having "restored the lustre of the marque," according tothe citation "returning Scuderia Ferrari to internationalracing prominence, while building the brand into a globalpowerhouse". Tata, founder of the Indian companythat bought the Jaguar and Range Rover brands and restoredthem, will also be inducted with Roger Penske, founder and bossof Penske Corporation, a leading international transportationservices company, who also built Team Penske into one of themost successful automotive racing teams in history, winning 15Indianapolis 500 championships. Six other illustrious Italianswere inducted into the Hall of Fame before Luca Cordero diMontezemolo: Enzo Ferrari and Ettore Bugatti (Italian by birthbut who operated in France) in 2000, Giovanni Agnelli andGiorgetto Giugiaro in 2002, and the famous coachbuilders,Nuccio Bertone in 2006 and Sergio Pininfarina in 2007.
