Clocking1:47.187, the championship leader was 0.362 seconds faster thanteammate Dani Pedrosa, and almost half a second faster thanPramac Racing's Andrea Iannone. Monster Yamaha Tech 3's PolEspargaro was fourth fastest, ahead of Ducati Team's CalCrutchlow and Movistar Yamaha's Valentino Rossi.
