Tommy Ramone, last of The Ramones, dies aged 65

(AGI) Los Angeles, July 12 - Tommy Ramone, the last survivingmember of The Ramones, has died aged 65. The drummer of theinfluential punk rock band, whose real name was Thomas Erdelyi,died of cancer. He stayed with the band from its foundation in1974 until 1978 and co-produced the first three albums. TheRamones named themselves after Paul McCartney's use of thepseudonym Paul Ramon during his Beatles days. The band was amajor influence on the punk rock movement for more than twodecades. . .
