(VELINO) Roma, 5 Sep - An exhibition by Italian artist Giorgio Galli entitled "A pratica da Arte. O futuro possivel" recently opened in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It is being hosted by the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) and will run until October 8. Galli is a versatile artist who joined Rome's artistic circles at a young age. He is an expert in ancient fresco and encaustic techniques, reinterpreting them in contemporary style. His paintings are a synthesis of artistic trends ranging from Informalism to Neo-Dada. Ash, mixed with colours and newspaper, is the key element in his art. In 1997, Galli and other artists founded Rome's Neo-abstract group, exhibiting their works both in Italy and abroad. Galli's pieces have been acquired by public and private collections. He currently lives and works in Rome and Genzano. vel
