(VELINO) Roma, 16 Aug - Italy's training ship, Amerigo Vespucci, will be docked at Oslo's Vippetangen Pier, near the Akershus Fortress, from August 22 to 25. The visit is scheduled 85 years since it was launched on 22 February 1931 and after it underwent a two-year long overhaul. The Italian Navy's oldest naval vessel vaunts a long and glorious history and remains unmatched in terms of elegance and magnificence. The ship's visit to Norway, under the command of Captain Curzio Pacifici, the second after the one long past in 2005, is part of the 2016 Training Course for the Cadets of the Naval Academy. The ship's prolonged presence in the Norwegian capital will also be the backdrop to the launch of the Itinerant Event "Under the Sign of Excellence - Italia presenter seg i et roadshow gjennom norske byer". vel
