(VELINO) Roma, 19 Jul - Italian singer and songwriter Chiara Civello will perform at the Popular Theatre of Nitero'i, in Rio de Janeiro on July 20. Her show "Canzoni", named after her latest album, will be her first opportunity to present the album in its entirety. She launched some of her singles during shows in Sao Paulo and in Rio earlier this year. The event, organised by the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Rio, will be Ms Civello's very original soloist performance of her fifth studio album with the aim of taking the audience on a unique journey into the Italian repertoire. The result is an album with a refined and enthralling sound, mixing northern soul with bossa nova, jazz, and international pop. Extraordinary guests helped work the magic, such as Gilberto Gil, Chico Buarque, Ana Carolina, and jazz star Esperanza Spalding. The almost hypnotic orchestral arrangements were composed by Eumir Deodato (Sinatra / Jobim, Bjork, Roberta Flack) and producer DJ Nicola Conte, who create the perfect blend between contemporary musical sensitivity and the vibrant depth of analogue sounds. vel
