(VEE) EMPATHIA JAZZ DUO TO PERFORM 'PORTRAITS IN SONG' IN BRAZIL

(VELINO) Roma, 27 May - The eMPathia Jazz Duo are due to perform a concert entitled "Portraits in Song" on May 31 in Sao Paulo, with the support of the Italian Institute of Culture (IIC). With this new art project the captivating voice of Mafalda Minnozzi and "orchestral" accompaniment of New York guitarist Paul Ricci offer an original interpretation of composers like Cole Porter, Morricone, Piaf and Jobim, creating original musical portraits. The concert, presented to the Italian public on a recent tour, will include the special participation of Blubell, Filo Machado, Toninho Ferragutti and Rubem Farias. "Portraits in Song" offers a varied repertoire of Italian, American, Brazilian and French songs. The aim is to help bring the Brazilian people closer to Italy and the U.S. through the universal language of music.
