(AGI) Rome, May 30 - Roma's new stadium has gotten closer to becoming a reality after representatives of Stadio della Roma and Eurnova formally filed the definitive design plans and paperwork for the Tor di Valle project with the City of Rome and Lazio Region's offices. The documents, delivered both in physical and electronic form, contain over 3500 designs and more than 50,000 pages of expert reports. The final dossier is the result of the joint efforts and expertise of more than 500 specialists in the sector, with engineers, architects, and consultants belonging to over 50 professional studios and institutes, both in Italy and abroad. "This is an important day for Stadio della Roma and the Tor di Valle project," said AS Roma's president, James Pallotta. "The project will have a significant economic and social impact on the team, the fans, the city, and the country. An incredible job was done to finalise the paperwork. Now we're waiting for clearance to take the next step and build a stadium Rome can be proud of." Following the Stadio della Roma project's delivery to Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) on April 29, submitting the definitive dossier was a fundamental step in the approval process. The dossier was formally registered by Rome and Lazio's offices. "Filing the project's paperwork marks a historic moment for Italy and Rome. The Tor di Valle project will create new jobs here, promoting and attracting foreign investments in the years to come", underlined the Managing Director of Stadio della Roma, David Ginsberg. The next phase will be the project's formal transmittal from Rome's offices (Roma Capitale) to the Lazio Region's. The authorisation process can take a maximum of 180 days from the paperwork's transmittal to its final approval. The last step will be the decision by Lazio's council to authorise the stadium's construction, after which the work can begin. "It's an important and greatly satisfying day," said the project's constructor, Luca Parnasi. "I'd like to thank all the teams and professionals who contributed to making this day possible. It's proof of how, even in our city, you can imagine and develop quality ideas in order to attract both renowned talents and investors of international standing. We wanted a project that was avant-guarde in every aspect, first of all environmentally. We want to launch Rome towards a new phase of work and growth, considerably shortening the distance with other European capitals." (AGI). .
