Ancona - A delegation of firms from the fashion industry hailing from the district of Shenzhen was welcomed in the Confartigianato (association of craftsmen) offices in Ancona, in the Marche region. The aim of their meeting was to define collaboration terms among Italian local craftsmen and Chinese partners.
The 'Fashion Project' passport, organised by Debra Storti's Deliu Consulting, is the product of years of experience, exchanges and tests developed with the participation of young entrepreneurs, with investments made in China for the promotion and analysis of the Chinese market. The final meeting took place after some intensive business visits, with a special focus on the overcoat manufacturers' district of Filottrano.
The meeting was attended by Paolo Picchio, head of Confartigianato Internazionalizzazione, Liu Cheng, resident trader in Cina for Deliu Consulting, and Paola Abiti, licensing manager in the fashion sector. The Shenzhen delegation partners expressed considerable interest and the intent to create an Italo-Chinese team to develop agreements and organise targeted meetings for the selection of products and services. These will meet the requirements of the Chinese market, bearing in mind the different trends, colours, styles, and designs which young Chinese like, especially those from southern China.
Italian fashion in China is attractive and a timely topic, as it is a market with great potential where it is important to be noticed. Ancona's Confartigianato premises also hosted a training workshop on the ways Italian and Chinese firms can collaborate on style and design services, as well as on the distribution of Made in Italy products.
