(AGI) - Astana, Jul 25 - Italy has officially signed the agreement on participation in Astana EXPO 2017 and on the establishment of Italian Pavilion. Stefano Ravagnan, the ambassador of Italy to Kazakhstan, and Akhemtzhan Yessimov, the chairman of Astana EXPO 2017, have officially signed this morning the participation agreement at the procedure in the site of exhibition in the capital of Kazakhstan. Yessimov noted that Kazakhstan carefully studied the experience of Milano EXPO 2015 in the preparation for the Astana EXPO 2017. He stressed that 94 countries agreed to participate in the exhibition. Ravagnan noted that Italian Pavilion in Astana EXPO 2017 could attract much interest from Italian companies and business. "Now we are starting the project. I proposed to open the special website dedicate to the promotion of the Italian Pavilion. We are going have some meetings in Rome now", ambassador noted on the current progress of Italy participation in EXPO 2017. "Many people will come for the first time to Kazakhstan. Numerous companies and people will come here who deal with Central Asia in such fields as energy, food, machinery. Astana EXPO 2017 is the platform", the Italian ambassador stated. The Italian Ambassador also commented that the Astana EXPO 2017 differed from Milano EXPO 2015 in some important aspects such as Astana EXPO 2017 being a thematic exhibition with shorter duration (just 3 months). Ravagnan concluded that hosting such major exhibition could a bit of challenge for Kazakhstan who did not have much experience in organizing such international events. (AGI) .
