Eni CEO Descalzi stresses importance of Libya for Europe

(AGI) Paris, Oct. 16 - Claudio Descalzi, CEO of Italian oil andgas giant Eni, on Friday stressed the importance of Libya forEurope's energy needs. "Libya is a strategic country for us,the Mediterranean is a strategic area," he said from the Oil &Gas climate initiative in Paris. "We need Libya, theMediterranean needs Libya, Europe needs Libya for its gassupplies and to diversify its energy sources. Libya is a keycountry for us and it is part of our future growth in gas," headded. (AGI) .
