During a meeting with Syrianopposition leader Ahmad al-Jarba in Jeddah, Kerry pointed outthat the program would open a second front in the fight againstmilitants of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).On Thursday, U.S. President Barack Obama sent congress a 500million dollar request to expand efforts to arm and trainrebels fighting both the Sunni extremists and forces loyal toSyrian President Bashar al-Assad. . .
