(AGI) Vatican City, Nov 30 - The time for an agreement onclimate change is "now or never", Pope Francis said on Mondayupon his return from Central Africa. "The other day I read thatglaciers in Greenland have lost billions of tons," he toldjournalists. "There's a nation in the Pacific that's buyinganother nation in order to relocate, because in 20 years itwon't be there any more [due to rising sea levels, etc.]. Ihave faith that the summit participants will do something. Ihope it turns out that way and I am praying that it will,"Francis stated. "I believe the first conference took place inTokyo; little was accomplished. Every year the problems aregetting worse. Speaking at a university gathering on what kindof world we want to leave our children, one student said: 'Areyou sure there will be children of this generation?' We are atthe limits of suicide, to say a strong word. I am sure thatalmost all who are in Paris have this awareness and want to dosomething." (AGI). .
