(AGI) Rome, Nov 16 - Eni's position has been confirmed withinthe Carbon Disclosure Project's (CDP) Italy Climate DisclosureLeadership Index (CDLI), the list that includes the majorItalian corporations that stand out for the quality andcompleteness of their information on climate change andgreenhouse gas emissions. This designation was announced duringthe CDP and Borsa Italiana Climate Leadership Awards, an eventwhich every year publishes the official indexes of the CarbonDisclosure Project for the Italian market. This year, Eni hasachieved the top score in terms of disclosure, i.e. 100percent. The result was announced two weeks before the UNClimate Conference to take place in Paris (COP21), thusconfirming Eni's commitment to climate change issues. Eni hasparticipated in the CDP from its inception in 2003, and yearafter year the transparency of its carbon strategy hasimproved. CDP is the international non-profit organisationwhich assesses the committment of international corporations intackling climate change. It has 822 institutional investors anda total capital of 92 billion dollars. It represents the stockmarket benchmark to assess risk management and opportunitieslinked to climate change for quoted corporations.
